Strathisla whisky distillery on the banks of the river Isla in Keith, Scotland is the oldest operating distillery in The Highlands.
The beautiful buildings including the double pagodas date from 1786. My favourite whisky is made here.

When I met my husband more than 20 years ago he was an architectural photographer and he taught me to see how the camera sees. He also photographed plants and his close up flowers showing all the bright colour and detail just blew me away. It took me some time before I was happy with my own images but now macro photography is something I especially love to do. My photographic journey has led me to try many styles and techniques but underlying every photo is my love of colour. Mostly toning shades but also strong contrasts. Colour makes my world a richer place. I'm still enjoying creating fine art for empty walls and my images are used on book covers worldwide.
